Blog Challenges
Simple and in Season – July Recipe Link Up
Having thoroughly enjoyed hosting Maison Cupcake’s Forever Nigella in June, I jumped at the chance to host another challenge. This time it is Simple and in Season which is organised by Ren Behan from Fabulicious Food.
And what a month to do this challenge eh?! July must be one of the best times as it is full of gorgeous seasonal produce. In fact, if you are blogging about anything with fruit and veg in this month, the chances are it will contain something in season, and I would LOVE you to link it up here if it does.
I’m going to blog my Simple and in Season post in a couple of days, and below are a few links which should help to give you plenty of ideas:

Don’t forget to check out the June Simple and in Season round up coming soon by host Laura at How to Cook Good Food.
Guidelines and entering
The guidelines for Simple and in Season are listed below. Have a read thorough then add your recipe via the linky at the end of this post:
-
All you have to do is come up with a dish using any seasonal produce you like (savoury or sweet) post it on your blog, link to REN’S PAGE and MY PAGE and add a link to your post in the box below (via Simply Linked). Feel free to use the current month’s badge on your post.
-
Each round starts on the 1st of the month and ends on the last day of the month.
-
You can take inspiration from anywhere – adapt a recipe from your favourite cookbook, try something from a magazine, make up your own creation or share a family favourite. The usual rules apply when using someone else’s recipe, please either get permission from the author to post it or adapt it in some way stating how/why you’ve changed it.
-
Include any seasonal produce you fancy including fruit, veg, herbs, meat or fish.
-
Link as many recipes as you like. You can link posts entered into other blog events or carnivals as long as it involves a seasonal food item (and fits in with their rules)
-
The linky-up is open to anyone, anywhere. Whilst it is nice to feature as much British produce as possible, it will be interesting to see what’s in season elsewhere.
Feel free to tweet your entry to me @homemadebyfleur and @renbehan and we will RT once we see it.
Looking forward to all your lovely recipes.

Hi Fleur, chocolate looks to be a popular ingredient this month! I’ve added a recipe that uses white chocolate and raspberries.
